Our Rooms

 

Explore each of our unique room types designed for every type of traveler. All of our rooms are located on the 2nd floor of the Old Marshall Jail which comprises four suites and two compact bunkrooms. Our suites are rich is artistic detail and historic elements, they feature plush beds, kitchenettes and private bathrooms. The bunkrooms connect to select suites via an adjoining door and can also be rented as standalone units with a shared bathroom for guests who are traveling light.

 Sheriffs suite

  • Mac occupancy 1-2 guests. King bed sleeps 2.

  • Kitchenette includes two stovetop burners and mini-fridge/freezer, cookware and cutlery and ceramic plates and drink ware from Josh Copus Pottery.

  • Two picture windows look out over the French Broad River and Marshall Bridge to Blannahassett Island. This suite has an adbundance of natural light during the day and is next to the railroad tracks.

  • This rooms allows dogs up to 50 lbs with applicable $75 pet fee added to the reservation pre-arrival.

With two large picture windows, the Sheriff’s Suite offers unparalleled views of the French Broad River, our iconic bridge, the railroad tracks and downtown Marshall. Take in the views of the river from the comfort of the plush king size bed. The kitchenette is equipped with two stovetop burners, a mini-fridge/freezer, and a range of cooking supplies and handmade ceramic dishes, bowls and mugs. The dining table and shower/soaking bath combo inside the in-suite bathroom make it the perfect place to relax and stay the whole week. Sheriff’s Suite offers private entrance from the deck and a semi-private porch add to the pied-à-terre feeling.


Riverview suite

  • Sleeps 1-4 guests. Queen bed is located on the main level. Twin daybed and futon located in the upstairs loft.

  • Features sink, mini fridge with freezer, stovetop with two burners, pantry space, and dining counter that seats 2.

    Cookware, basic appliances, and handmade pottery by Josh Copus Pottery.

  • Suite has views of the French Broad River from the outside deck

Overlooking the French Broad River, this suite features original mechanisms from the jail that operated in this building from 1905 until 2012. In the kitchen, pull the handle to open the pantry and watch the vintage mechanics work from behind glass.

The queen size bed on the main level offers a view of the vaulted ceiling and window views of deck overlooking the French Broad River. Climb the alternating tread staircase into the loft, which includes a futon and twin-size day bed for additional sleeping.


 Baileys branch suite

  • Sleeps 1-2 guests or 1-4 with optional adjoining bunkroom.

This spacious suite overlooks the center of downtown Marshall and the French Broad River. Watch passersby or take in the leather-like riveted steel ceiling from the original jail that operated here from 1905-2012. With a king-size bed, kitchenette and large bathroom with glass shower stall, this suite is a great place to settle in and stay for awhile.

+ This room has an optional adjoining door to Bailey’s Branch Bunkroom to sleep an additional 2 guests. Bunkroom booked separately.


Back street suite

  • Occupancy: 1-4 guests, room features a queen bed on the main level and additional sleeping in the upstairs loft with a twin daybed and futon.

    +Sleeps an additional 2 guests when reserved with adjoining bunkroom

  • Includes sink, stovetop with two burners, mini fridge/freezer, toaster, cooking tools, cutlery and handmade ceramic dishware by Josh Copus Pottery. Dining counter seats two.

Featuring an iron entry and an original lever mechanism, this suite is rich in historic details. Back Street Suite overlooks the alley side of the building, looking over Jerry Plemmons Way. It features a queen size bed on the main level as a relaxing space to lay back and enjoy the original artwork on the walls. An alternating tread staircase leads to the upstairs loft with a twin-size day bed and futon that provides additional sleeping, making this suite a great choice for families or groups.

Baileys branch bunkroom

Traveling light? This bunkroom is perfect for you! With a twin bunkbed, small desk, shelf and sink, it has all the essentials. A shared bath with curbless shower across the hall makes it easy to clean up.

The window overlooks the deck and French Broad River, and an optional adjoining door connects to the Bailey’s Branch Suite for friends and families.

Back street bunkroom

Perfect for bicyclists and other people who are traveling light, the Back Street Bunkroom includes a bunk bed with two twin beds, a sink, and a small desk area for using a laptop or storing your belongings.

Just down the hall, a shared bathroom includes a curbless shower and room to change.
